John Carlos, the controversial 1968 Olympian and member of the Black Power movement, was profiled in The New York Times sports section on October 11th. Reviews have also appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, the Chicago Tribune, and New York Daily News.
Carlos’ co-author, Dave Zirin, wrote a piece for Aljazeera on September 30th, detailing why Carlos’ protest is still relevant today. On October 10th, Carlos and Zirin visited the Occupy Wall Street protests.
