Two Theatre Communications Group Plays are Pulitzer Prize Finalists!

We are excited to announce that The Humans by Stephen Karam has been named a 2016 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama! The Theatre Communications Group play has been a rousing success since it opened on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theater in February. The Pulitzer Prize Board members were also clearly impressed with the “profoundly affecting drama that sketches the psychological and emotional contours of an average American family” when they announced their selections on April 17. The other finalist in the drama category was Gloria, a play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins that will be published by Theatre Communications Group in Spring 2017. His collection Appropriate and Other Plays is due from Theatre Communications Group in August. This continues an impressive Pulitzer streak for TCG; last year’s drama winner was their play Between Riverside and Crazy by Stephen Adly Guirgis, and The Flick by Annie Baker won in 2014.
