What makes the Lean work as diet book is the sheer elegance in its simplicity. I found the act of adding a single step in your daily routine for 30 days to be easy and non disruptive. You literally Lean into it and it is practically effortless. It also gave a new found understanding of Vegans and what they need to do on a daily basis to just find a product in the market that doesn’t come from an animal. Even Wine and Altoids is not necessarily Vegan friendly. It really opened my eyes to a lot and I don’t think a lot of diet books can offer you a new way of looking at something. I didn’t need to lose weight, but I wanted to try Kathy’s Lean plan to increase my energy level. A lot of diet books offer advice that seems complicated in practice, but I like that The Lean breaks things down into easily digestible steps. And following the plan has surprised me. Before I started I really wasn’t a “fruit person,” but now I actually look forward to eating my apple every day. Change is possible! Katie McHugh- Executive Editor
